Classroom work recognized as 12 Athenas garner ACWPC All-Academic awards

BRIDGEPORT, Penn. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced its 2017 Women's Division III All-Academic awards and 12 Athenas were recognized for their efforts as students. Individuals selected fell into three categories based on GPA: Outstanding (4.0-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41) and Excellent (3.40-3.20). As a team the Athenas posted a 3.32 grade-point average and ranked 17th nationally among all NCAA divisions.

Four Athenas were recognized in the Outstanding category: Emma Choy (CMC '19), Gayatri Ketavarapu (CMC '19), Mariah Mastrodimos (SCR '18) and Roxy Kiessling (CMC '18).

Three Athenas made the Superior category: Eliana Smithstein (SCR '20), Helen Thomason (SCR '18) and Jessica Gaffney (CMC '18).

Five Athenas landed in the Excellent category: Christine Hu (CMC '18), Claire Baxter (CMC '18), Kaitlyn Eng (HMC '19), Krystal Sung (CMC '19) and Shannon Golden (CMC '17).
