SCIAC Volleyball Postseason Tournament Preview

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – For the third time in four seasons and second-straight year, the 18^th-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps volleyball team has made the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Volleyball Postseason Tournament. CMS enters SCIAC postseason play as the No. 2 seed after posting a 14-2 conference record during the regular season. In 2013, CMS made the finals before losing to Cal Lu 3-0.

The 2014 SCIAC Postseason Tournament gets underway on Thursday, Nov. 6 as CMS heads to Cal Lutheran to take on No. 3 seed and 24^th-ranked La Verne at 5 p.m. in the first semifinal match. The SCIAC Tournament finals are on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the highest remaining seed.

Three of the four teams in the tournament are ranked in the top-25 nationally by the American Volleyball Coaches Association: Cal Lutheran (No. 3), CMS (No. 18) and La Verne (No. 24).

TICKET INFORMATION
Ticket prices for admission to SCIAC Postseason Tournament matches are set by the conference and are as follows:

• Spectators w/ Current SCIAC ID (Students, Faculty, Staff) – Free
• Children 12 and under – Free
• All others - $5

Tickets for games hosted by Cal Lu will be sold at both the East and West Entrances to the Gilbert Arena. All SCIAC school students, staff, faculty will be free, but please have IDs available.

MERCHANDISE INFORMATION

Merchandise, including short and long sleeved t-shirts (as well as potentially other items), will be available for purchase. Items are available on a first come, first serve basis. T-shirts will be sold for $15 (short sleeves) and $20 (long sleeves).
