A total of 90 student-athletes from the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges were honored on the 2014-15 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) All-Academic teams for the fall sports.

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced its sportsmanship awards for volleyball and men’s water polo on Dec. 15 and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps had a pair of representatives.

Coberly named AVCA D-III National Assistant Volleyball Coach of the Year

After helping lead the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps volleyball team to its first trip to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals and their best season in program history, Morgan Coberly has been chosen as the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III National Assistant Coach of the Year.

The No. 17 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps volleyball team (27-6) begins play in the final rounds of the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championships in the quarterfinals against No. 6 Wisconsin-Stevens Point (32-4) on Friday, Nov. 21 at 12:30 p.m. EST.

Comeback win for CMS in rematch against Colorado College in NCAA Tournament, lands Athenas in regional championship match

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps volleyball team toughed out another five set match in the NCAA Regional on Friday, this time against Colorado College for the 3-2 win (25-23, 22-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-13). The Athenas were down two sets to one and forced a fifth set by minimizing errors and coming up with timely blocks in the fourth set.

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps volleyball team battled through a five set match against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor to win 2-3 (25-22, 25-27, 25-15, 26-28, 15-12) and advance to the NCAA regional semi-final hosted by Cal Lutheran. The Athenas face Colorado College on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 3:30 p.m. for a rematch from last year’s NCAA Tournament.
