Three Athenas Earn Top-Three Finishes for CMS Women's Track and Field at Westmont Classic.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Caroline DelVecchio was second in the 400-meter hurdles and Simone Rogers (high jump) and Brooke Simon (pole vault) each finished third to highlight the performance of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's track and field team on Saturday at the Westmont Classic.

Rogers was the third-place finisher in the high jump, clearning 1.55 meters. She tied for the second highest jump of the day, but finished in third due to the tiebreaker (number of attempts). Simon was third in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.55 meters.

The women's 4x100 relay took first place, as Mikaela Lipsky, DelVecchio, Madison Packbier, and Scarlette McCullough finished in 52.09.

DelVecchio added a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, which was the highest individual finish for the Athenas. Lipsky finished fourth in the 400 meters, while Carly Kirsch (shot put) and Amanda Gallop (hammer) tied for the highest finish among the throwers.

CMS will be back in action next weekend when it hosts a SCIAC Multi-Dual at the Burns Track Complex, beginning at 10 a.m.
