McKillop Shows Well Against Top Competition in 3K at UW Preview

SEATTLE, Wash. - Running against Division I and post-collegiate athletes, Bryn McKillop (SC) placed 28th in the 3K at the University of Washington Indoor Preview Meet on Saturday. Her time of 10:07.09 topped 31 of the top runners in the northwest.

McKillop's time is the eighth fastest 3K time in NCAA Division III this season.

As a measure of the competition that McKillop faced on Saturday, the race was won by Shalane Flanagan in a time of 8:55.11. Flanagan is a bronze medalist in 10K at the 2008 Olympic Games and winner of the 2017 New York City Marathon.

McKillop was the only Athena in action on Saturday.
