Brown Honored as ITA West Region Most Improved Senior
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the names of the Division III Regional Award Winners on Thursday, May 17, and Lindsay Brown (CMC) was honored as the West Region Most Improved Senior.
Brown leads the Athenas in the wins column, coming into the final week of the season with a 16-1 record. Nine of her 16 wins have come in the third singles slot. A First Team All-SCIAC selection, the senior has dropped just one match all season and carries a six-match winning streak into the NCAA National Championships. In the top doubles spot, Brown teamed up with Nicole Tan (CMC) to go 15-5. She is 17-5 in doubles overall.
The Athenas are set to host the 2018 NCAA Tennis National Championship this week, beginning Monday. No. 3 CMS will face No. 11 MIT in the Quarterfinal match at 6 p.m.
