Nicole Tan, Singapore look forward to Pakistan following Malaysia loss
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan – Nicole Tan (CMC '20) and the Singapore National Team did not get the start they hoped for as they fell 3-0 to Malaysia in the group stage of the Fed Cup at Dushabe Central Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Tan battled against Malaysia's Theiviya Selvarajoo in the singles round and lost 6-2 and 6-3. She later competed in doubles alongside Charmaine Shi Yi Seah in the doubles competition against Uma Nayar and Selvarajoo. After dropping a close first set 7-6 (7-5), Tan and Seah conceded the second set 7-5 as Malaysia came away with a 3-0 victory.
Singapore will face Pakistan in their final group match tomorrow, July 19.
