Straight set sweep for 21st win

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's tennis team won every game in seven of the nine matches against Occidental College on Saturday morning. The Athenas (21-0, 6-0) easily swept the Tigers (3-11, 1-5) in doubles and then earned their ninth 9-0 sweep of the season.

Junior Lindsay Brown (CMC) and freshman Nicole Tan (CMC) worked their way to a quick 8-0 win at No. 1, shortly followed by freshman Madison Shea (CMC) and sophomore Jessie Cruz (CMC) with the same score. Junior Bria Smith (CMC) paired up with Juliette Martin (HMC) for the third team point on the day, also with an 8-0 advantage.
