Sophomore Kyla Scott (HMC) earned wins on her birthday at No. 2 doubles (8-1) with Jessie Cruz (CMC) and No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-1), only relinquishing two games on the day.

CMS took a commanding lead after doubles play as all three pairs won. Nationally ranked doubles pair Caroline Ward (CMC) and Katie Kuosman (CMC) won 8-4 as sophomore Lindsay Brown (CMC) and Bria Smith (CMC) cruised to an 8-3 victory.

In the singles competition, Jenna Dobrin of Whitman made Ward work for her 6-4, 6-4 win in the longest match of the afternoon. Each of Scott, Cruz and Smith did not allow their opponent to score more than one game per set.
