Top doubles team from CMS advances to NCAA quarters
CLAREMONT, Calif. – In the doubles competition of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships, sophomore Caroline Ward and freshman Katie Kuosman of CMS have advanced to the quarterfinals on May 23.
In their opening round match Thursday, the third seeded duo defeated Tiffany Chen and Megan Tang of the University of Chicago 6-0, 6-4 in the round of 16.
Next up for Kuosman and Ward is a match-up against a doubles team from Williams or Sewanee on May 23 at 4 p.m.
In singles play, Ward, the only representative from CMS, was eliminated in the round of 32 by top-seeded Gabrielle Clark of national champion Emory, 6-1, 6-1.
