Awards keep rolling in for Athenas’ underclassmen duo

Skillman, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2014 NCAA Division III regional award winners on May 14 and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's tennis team's Caroline Ward and Katie Kuosman each brought home an award for their efforts this season. This on top of being named All-SCIAC by the conference on May 14 and also being selected to participate in the singles/doubles field for the NCAA Division III Championships.

Of the awards announced by the ITA, Ward a sophomore, was named the West Region's Player to Watch, while Kuosman was named West Region Rookie of the Year.

As a team, the Athenas begin quarterfinal play of the NCAA Championships on May 19 against Johns Hopkins while Ward and Kuosman begin doubles play on May 22.
