Bio

A native of Claremont, Tana Wilson enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps swimming and diving program in 2018-19. 

Wilson joins CMS after three years serving as the head coach of the Seals Swim Club in Fremont, California. As the head coach of the Seals, she demonstrated all swimming strokes and  implemented exercise programs and training strategies for individual and team performance. For the past year, she also served concurrently as the program coordinator for the Calphin Aquatic Club in Fremont. 

As a collegiate athlete, Wilson swam for two seasons at Cal State University East Bay, where she graduated in 2017 with a degree in sociology. Prior to her two years at East Bay, Wilson competed at Mt. San Antonio College, where she was a member of swimming and water polo teams that went undefeated both years. She earned NJCAA All-America honors in swimming both years, and qualified for the state championships both seasons as well. She also set a South Coast Conference record in the 100-yard breaststroke on the way to winning the league title as a sophomore. 

Wilson graduated from Claremont High School in 2012, where she spent four years on the swimming team and qualified for the CIF championships every season. She also swam with the Claremont Club swim team for 12 years.
