Both CMS swim & dive teams recognized for academic excellence by CSCAA

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's and women's swimming and diving teams have not only excelled in the pool this season, but in the classroom as well. Both teams have been recognized for their work in the classroom by receiving the Fall 2014 Team Scholar All American Award, announced on Feb. 24 by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), for Division III teams across the country.

The award is presented by the CSCAA to swimming and diving teams who have a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester/quarter. The Stags had a combined GPA of 3.48 and the Athenas had a combined GPA of 3.30.

Along with their standout performance in the classroom, both teams just completed a sweep of the SCIAC Championships.
