CMS Women's Soccer Team Finishes in 0-0 Draw with Occidental

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Claremont Mudd-Scripps women's soccer team hosted the Occidental Tigers in 110 minutes of play, but ultimately finished with a draw as neither team could find the net on Saturday night at Pritzlaff field, ending in a 0-0 tie.

CMC saw its record move to 4-1-2, including 1-1-2 in the SCIAC, while Occidental moved to 3-2-2 and 0-2-2 in league play with the loss.

The Athenas held a narrow 10-9 edge in shots on goal and Athena Manthouli had four saves on the day for CMC to get the shutout.

Ella Endo had a chance late for the Tigers in the second overtime but ended up hitting the right post. Jenna Rempel threatened as well in the second overtime, as the clock wound down close to zeros but her shot was sent high over the goal post.

CMS will be back in action on Wednesday when the team travels to Whittier for a 7 p.m. contest against the Poets.
