Cancelmo and Clubb receive West Region honors from IWLCA
GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Claremont-Mudd-Scripps players sophomore Cara Cancelmo (CMC) and freshman Lauren Clubb (CMC) were honored by the The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as All-Regional Performers. In Division III, 256 students were selected onto two teams in each of the eight regions.
Both Cancelmo and Clubb were second team all-region selections after having been named first team All-SCIAC. Clubb led CMS with 37 points during the season including 20 goals and 17 assists. She scored three goals in a game on three occasions: in the 8-7 win over Pomona-Pitzer, the 17-12 victory over Kean and in the 14-8 loss to Chapman in the final game of the regular season. Cancelmo tallied 52 draw controls over 15 games and also added seven goals. Her season high was nine draw controls in the 17-14 win over SUNY New Paltz.
