Heather Semelmacher to Leave CMS Lacrosse

Heather Semelmacher to Leave CMS Lacrosse

After a three-year tenure, Heather Semelmacher will no longer be at the helm of the CMS Women's Lacrosse Program. Under her leadership, Semelmacher's players have received All-Academic Honors and in 2014, four standouts earned spots on the SCIAC All Conference teams and two on the All West Region Team, the most in the history of CMS Lacrosse.

Semelmacher states: "I am proud of the progress that CMS Lacrosse has made and I believe that these student-athletes and the incoming recruits can take the program to the next level. I would like to thank my assistants, colleagues, and all of those at CMS who made my time here enjoyable and successful. CMS stands as an example of the tremendous growth of women's lacrosse across the country — it's an exciting time for the sport."

CMS Athletic Director Mike Sutton says, "Coach Semelmacher has given of herself without reserve to the CMS Women's Lacrosse Program, to the Department and to the College, including particularly through her recruiting, service, and outreach, which included service on the SCIAC, NCAA and IWLCA Committees. CMS Athletics thanks her for her service and we wish her the very best."
