CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's lacrosse team lost to the Redlands Bulldogs 14-10 Wednesday night on Zinda Field in SCIAC play. CMS is 2-4 in the SCIAC and 6-7 overall with the loss.
CMS jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Madi Shove at the 21:19 mark of the first half. Redlands then scored five-straight goals over the next nine minutes to take a 5-1 lead with 12:48 in the first half en route to a 10-4 halftime lead. The second half saw CMS go on a 5-1 run to narrow the Redlands' lead to 11-9 with 14 minutes left in the game on a goal by Shove which as close as they would get.
CMS was led by Shove and Izzy Laterzo, both with three goals. Redlands was led by KK McCaslin with 4 goals. Sara Ginsburg had six saves in net for CMS.
