Athenas Top Poets In Lacrosse

Coming off of two strong wins, the Athenas were again victorious against the Whittier Poets 20-15 at home on Wednesday night.  The Athenas totaled 20 goals; ten came from Madi Shove (pictured) and Ali Abramovitz who had five each.  Rachel Darby and Claire Peterson added three each to the scoreboard as well.

The Athenas dominated the first half, outscoring the Poets12-6. Whittier answered back in the second half with nine goals to the Athenas eight, however it wasn't enough, falling short to CMS for a final score of 20-15.  CMS improved to 6-7 overall and 4-2 in SCIAC while Whittier fell to 4-10 and 0-6.
