Athenas No. 1 in the Region; No. 18 in the Nation

The Athenas Lacrosse team, which made program history with their first national ranking last week, have improved to 18th in the latest IWLCA rankings.  CMS is also the top ranked team in the West Region in the NCAA regional rankings.

CMS made their first appearance in the IWLCA rankings last week at number 20.  This week they climbed up two spots to number 18.

CMS will fight to defend their SCIAC Championship this upcoming weekend at the University of Redlands.  The Athenas will play Occidental on Saturday, April 30 at 11:30 am.

In post-season play, CMS hopes to receive a bid to the NCAA Championships for the fifth year in a row.  The bids will announced on May 8.
