Sarah Dick And Athenas Gain National Credit

Senior attacker Sarah Dick was named Offensive Player of the Week in Division III play for the week of March 28, 2011 by Synapse Sports.  Dick had back-to-back seven goal games in wins over Buffalo State and Whittier. In the win over Buffalo State, the senior captain had five goals in the second half as the Athenas mounted a comeback from a one-goal deficit at halftime against the Bengals. She added seven goals and an assist in the win over Whittier, picking up a pair of caused turnovers, ground balls, and draw controls in the win.  Dick is the team leader in goals with 43, assists with 8, and points with 51.
 
The Athenas were also recognized as a team in the Synapse Weekly Poll falling in at #18 for the week of March 28, 2011.  The Athenas stand 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the SCIAC conference. The Athenas will finish the season with conference play appearing March 29th against Redlands.
