Athenas Continue Hot Start

The women's lacrosse team won all three of their games over the weekend to improve their record to 9-0. The team has won 13 in a row dating back to last season and are one of five undefeated team remaining in Division III.

The team is dominating both offensively and defensively. The Athenas lead the nation in scoring offense (21.0 goals per game), are second in scoring defense (4.67/g) and lead in scoring margin (16.33) by over almost five goals. They also lead the nation in draw controls (16.44/g). The team has scored 20 or more goals in eight of nine games and only allowed more than seven goals once.

Individually, Lindsay Gaesser (JR, Crozet, VA) leads the nation in assists (4.0/g) and is eighth in points (5.78/g). Kristen Huff (SR, Simi Valley) is third nationally in goals against average (4.93) and save percentage (62.1). CMS also has three of the top 100 goal scorers - Callae Snively (JR, Englewood, CO) 3.22/g - 51, Mallory Singer (SR, West Orange, NJ) 3.11/g - 63 and Courtney Cronin (SO, Madison, CT) 2.78/g - 92. Singer is also ranked 68th in assists (1.44/g).

CMS looks to continue their winning ways with a couple of upcoming home games. They play cross-street rival Pomona-Pitzer on Friday, April 13 at 4:30 and University of Dallas on Saturday, April 21 at 2:00. Both games are on Parents Field.
