Winterbottom Named To All-SCIAC Team

Dan Winterbottom (SR, Tempe, AZ) was selected this week to the 2008 Men's Basketball All-SCIAC First Team.  He was one of six selections to the first team and the only CMS selection on the first or second team.  While he did not lead the Stags in any statistical category in SCIAC play, he was in the top three on the team in every category and ranked in the top 20 in the SCIAC in four categories.

He averaged 10.1 points per game, second on the team and 20th in the conference.  He averaged 4.9 rebounds (third and 16th), 1.4 assists (tied for third) and 1.9 steals (second and tied for third) per game.  He shot 46.0% from the field (third and 14th) and 64.7% from the line (second).

In his career, Winterbottom played in 97 games for CMS.  He scored 847 points, had 329 rebounds, 141 assists, 122 steals and 11 blocks.
