and advanced to the quarter finals of CIF Playoffs during Umar’s junior year . . .     
Averaged 18 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals per game . . . Team Captain, Rio     
Hondo League MVP, First Team All-CIF, Glendale News Press Area Player of the Year,     
La Canada High School Male Athlete of the Year.     

School: Played both basketball and golf in high school.     

Employment: This summer worked as an Actuarial Analyst for WellPoint, Inc. in Camarillo, California. Calculated medical trends to help forecast and alleviate costs for the health insurance company Blue Cross. Worked as an intern at New World Medical Inc. as an International Sales and Marketing Assistant. . . Previous experience as a basketball counselor at Spartan basketball camps.     

Personal: Umar is the son of Rubina and Rafi Khan. His family includes one brother, Ali,     
who is married to Aleena , and one sister, Ayesha, who is married to Fahd Bangash, as     
well as three baby nephews: Zain, Azad and Nyel.
