TUSTIN, Calif. - First-year Grace Lu shot an even par 72 to lead the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's golf team to a first-place finish in the three-team Tustin Shootout on Friday afternoon at Tustin Ranch Golf Club.

Junior Emily Attiyeh came through with a solid round of 75 for the Athenas tp finish second on the team and third overall, while junior Mira Yoo and senior Emma Kang each shot 77s to account for the CMS final total of 301.

Lu shot a two-under on the front nine and peaked at -3 with a birdie on the 10th hole before settling for the 72. Mackenzie Kelly of Redlands was the individual medalist with a 71, after she got as low as -4 on the back nine.

CMS will be back in action on Oct. 7-8 when it travels to Prescott, Arizona to take part in the Embry-Riddle Co-Ed Invitational.
