  • End of the Year Awards for CMS

    It has been another outstanding year for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athletics. On the largest scale, CMS broke into the top-10 in the Division III Learfield Directors’ Cup. During the 2015-16 year, many of the CMS student athletes were honored for their athletic and academic achievements.
  • SCIAC honors All-Academic Team for 2015-16

    Claremont-Mudd-Scripps was represented by 201 student-athletes on the 2015-16 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) All-Academic Team. The SCIAC recognizes student-athletes who have achieved at least a cumulative 3.4 grade point average and completed one full year at their institution.
  • Scholar Athletes honored by CMS

    Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athletics would like to congratulate the 17 recent graduates who have been added to the CMS Wall of Fame and the 129 student-athletes who have made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2015-16 academic year.
  • Ransom and Bhat make WGCA All-American Scholars list

    Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golfers, Kelly Ransom (CMC) and Maya Bhat (CMC), both have garnered Women’s Collegiate Golf All-American Scholar honors, as announced by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on July 5.
  • CMS Athletics 2015-16 Highlight Video

    CMS won 11 SCIAC championships, had 13 teams participate in the NCAA Championships, finished tied for 10th in the Directors' Cup Standings and tallied four national championships (3 individual and 1 team). Take a look back at the 2015-16 year in this highlight video.
  • Ransom is Newcomer of the Year; four Athenas land on All-SCIAC teams

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team is represented by four athletes on the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) teams, highlighted by freshman Kelly Ransom (CMC) earning Newcomer of the Year. Ransom is joined by freshman Mary Bryan Owen (CMC) and sophomores Margaret Loncki (CMC) and Maya Bhat (CMC), all on the Second Team.
  • Upward trend continues as Athenas close SCIAC Championships in second

    A pair of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golfers finished in the top-5 to help lead CMS to a second place finish at the 2016 SCIAC Championships and a second place finish in the overall conference standings.
  • Low round of the day lifts Athenas into second place

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team went from fourth to second place after an excellent round of 314 on day two of the SCIAC Championships. Three Athenas improved from their first round scores and now sit in the top-10 of the tournament.

    With one day in the books at the SCIAC Championships, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team is in fourth place and playing as an individual, junior Athena Taylor Kain-Godoy (CMC) is in third place after the first round, April 24 at Oak Valley Golf Course.

  • Athenas Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer and hold onto win at SCIAC #2

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team took a six stroke lead after the first round and held on in the second round to win by five strokes in the SCIAC #2 tournament. At assistant coach, Julie Lynd’s home course, South Hills Country Club, the Athenas finished with two players in the top-5 and three in the top-10 in the conference tournament.
  • Three Athenas in top-10 as team finishes second at UCSC Invite

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team had three golfers in the top-10 and the team finished in second place at the two-round UC Santa Cruz Spring Invite March 19-20 at Pacific Grove Golf Links.

    At the Cal Lutheran Regals Invite, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team led throughout en route to a first-place finish at the two-round event held March 14-15 at Sunset Hills Golf Course.
  • Pair of individual top-10 finishes helps CMS to third at Cougar Invite

    A pair of individual top-10 finishes in the 50-competitor field helped the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team to a third place finish at the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Invite, held Feb. 29-March 1 at St. Mark’s Golf Club.
  • Athenas, Ransom finish in third at SCIAC No. 1 Tournament

    In the first conference rounds of the season, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team finished in third place (646) at the two-round SCIAC No. 1 Tournament, Feb. 20-21 at Tukwet Canyon Golf Course.
  • Walker Cup comes down to final hole as CMS prevails

    In the annual Walker Cup match-play event against Pomona-Pitzer, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team won the overall event by 11 strokes and the match-play event by four points (5 ½ to 1 ½) on Feb. 14 at the par-72 Los Serranos Country Club.

    A busy and exciting spring season for CMS Athletics begins in February when 10 sports will begin play for 2016. The schedules for baseball, men’s and women’s golf, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s tennis, track and field, softball and women’s water polo have been published on the CMS Athletics website.     In its second and final fall tournament, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team finished in second place at the two-round CMS Invite held on Oct. 3-4 at Upland Hills Golf Course.

    In its first tournament of the fall season, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s golf team finished in third place at the Embry-Riddle Invitational, held on Sept. 27-28 at Talking Rock Golf Club.
