Bio

Chelsea Stocks is in her seventh season as an assistant coach with the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's basketball program in 2019-20, including her third consecutively, after a one-year hiatus coaching at Esperanza High School in Anaheim, California.

In her first tenure with the program, Stocks helped coach the Athenas to three consecutive SCIAC regular season and tournament titles from 2014-16, as well as three NCAA appearances, reaching the round of 32 in the 2015-2016 season. In her second stint over the last two years, she has helped CMS to a 47-7 record and back-to-back SCIAC regular season titles. 

Stocks played collegiately at La Sierra University, then transferred to Washington State University, where she walked on. Stocks also spent time working as a video coordinator and student manager for the WSU women’s basketball program.  After graduating from Washington State with a bachelor’s degree in sport management, Stocks continued coaching at Canyon High School in Anaheim and also worked as an operations intern for the Long Beach State women’s basketball program during the summer of 2011.

Stocks earned a Masters of Science degree in sport psychology from Long Beach State University in 2016.
