Big senior season earns Scamman honorable mention All-America accolades

CLAREMONT, Calif. – In addition to being named All-Region earlier this month, senior guard Kimberly Scamman (CMC) of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's basketball team has been named to the D3hoops.com All-America Team as an honorable mention selection. The teams were announced on March 23 by D3hoops.com.

She is the lone Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) women's basketball player to be selected as an All-American in 2014-15 and one of just five West Region players out of the 25 players selected as All-Americans.

Scamman helped lead the Athenas to the SCIAC regular season and postseason tournament titles in 2014-15. CMS finished the season 24-4 and a perfect 16-0 during the conference regular season. CMS then advanced to the NCAA Division III Championships, losing to Puget Sound in the opening round earlier this month. The 24 wins this season equals the CMS record, set last season.

This season, the Northridge, Calif. native led the team in scoring (16.1 ppg), rebounding (6.8), assists (2.2 apg) and steals (2.5 spg). She finished third in the conference in scoring, ninth in rebounding, 13th in assists and second in steals.
