Track & Field earns 39 All-Region honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the All-Region Teams and Awards for 2016 on May 23. As a program, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps hauled in 39 All-Region honors: 26 for the women, 13 for the men.

CMS swept the women's coaches accolades for the West Region as Glenn Stewart was named Head Coach of the Year and Christa Youngern earned Assistant Coach of the Year. Under Youngern's tutelage, junior Vaiva Palunas (SCR) was tabbed as the West Region Field Athlete of the Year.

The 26 All-Region honors for the women's team were the most of any program and sophomore Aiyanna Cameron-Lewis (CMC) collected the most All-Region awards for an individual (five).
