Track & field team competes at Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers

The CMS track & field team competed at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers meet on Saturday, February 15 and had a number of quality performances.  Five athletes won individual events.  Women's winners included Jen Lehr in the mile with a personal best of 5:24.96, Amy Hollshwander in the 100 hurdles (16.22) and Meg O'Keefe in the 400 hurdles (71.20).  Alex Rich was a double winner for the men in the hammer (167-3) and discus (135-9) with both marks personal bests.  Evan Molineux won the men's mile in 4:16.96.

Six athletes were also the top collegiate finishers in their events (there were a number of post-collegiate competitors).  Matt Wong was the top collegian in both the men's long (22-0.75) and triple (44-2.5) jumps while Jon Briskman turned in the top collegiate performance in the men's 3000 with a personal best of 8:42.35.  The women had four collegiate bests including Hanna Tarleton in the 400 (57.75), Sara Mostatabi in the 3000 (10:29.84), Erin Ristig in the pole vault (10-6) and Liz Lee in the triple jump (32-5.75).  Tarleton's time set the CMS freshman record.

CMS hosts the 18th Annual Rossi Relays this Saturday, February 22.  Field events begin at 11:00 with the running events starting at 1:00.
