Bryan has quite a history around the Claremont Colleges as is father attended Pomona and his grandfather was a CMC'er back before the school was made coeducational. A two-sport athlete, Bryan competed in Basketball and Track in high school where he established bests of 11.1 for 100 meters and 21'7" for the Long Jump. Bryan had a ready-made roommate at CMC in League Basketball standout Joey Anderson out of Acalanes High School.

Bryan attended Campolindo High School in Moraga, California.
