Life at CMC: Human Biology Major

On Court: Joined CMS following a junior career that earned him a #11 Boys 18s ranking Southern California and as high as #55 nationally...played Kalamazoo in 2004, going 4-2...played #1 singles for Troy HS in 2004 and 2005, helped leading them to CIF Div II championships in 2003 and 2005...reached quarterfinals of CIF individual championships...as a freshman reached quarterfinals of the ITA West Regionals in singles and won the ITA West Regionals and ITA Nationals in doubles with partner Guillaume Schils...went 18-9 at #2 singles highlighted by a semifinal showing at the Ojai Valley Div III tournament and convincing wins in the NCAA team tournament...at #1 doubles tied a CMS single season victory record by going 29-7 and earning All-American honors with partner Schils...won Ojai doubles and reached the semis of NCAAs with Schils, was named ITA West Region Rookie of the Year, 1st Team All-SCIAC, SCIAC Athlete of the Week (May 15, 2006), and was team MVP...as a sophomore reached the singles semis of the ITA West Regionals before losing to teammate and eventual champ Mike Starr...moved to the #1 singles position in the spring and went 24-9...ranked #2 nationally in Division III singles for most of the season (finshing at #5)...went 23-9 with Schils at #1 doubles...semifinals of Ojai Division III singles tournament, quarterfinals of NCAA individual doubles...SCIAC Player of the Year, 1st Team All-SCIAC, singles and doubles All-American, team MVP...this season reached the singles semifinals of the ITA West Regionals and won the doubles title for the second time in three years with a different partner (Hough)...has qualified for third consecutive All-American honors.
