Life at CMC: Major is International Relations and Psychology...President of Class of 2008 as a Freshman and a Senior...member of CIVITAS community service organization, EKTA South Asian Cultural Association, and Safety Kids Drug Alcohol Awareness Program...Director of CMC Alumni Association.

On Court: Joined CMS following a junior career that earned him a #32 Boys 18s ranking Texas and #369 national ranking...also a TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) champion in 2002, and finalist in 2001 and 2004...as a freshman was 7-5 overall in singles, playing at positions #4-6, and 2-3 in doubles (with Stephen Wolcott)...best showing of the year was at the Ojai Valley Independent College tournament, where he upset #2 seed Christian Gerloff of Point Loma Nazarene in the 1st round...as a sophomore prepared for the fall by playing clay court tournaments in France in July with teammates William Ellison and Evan Feldhausen...nearly upset two time defending NCAA champ Matt Seeberger in the first round of the ITA West Regionals...posted a 4-3 singles record, playing mostly at #5 and #6, and a 2-2 doubles record with Wiener and Chidester...as a junior saw increased playing time and went 10-4 in singles playing at #1, 2, 3 and 5...went 6-3 in doubles with four different partners...this season had his best ITA West Regionals tournament of his Stags career, winning two rounds in the main draw of singles, and then partnering Drew Sabater to reach the doubles final where they lost in three sets to Hough and Wang.

Personal: An accomplished musician who plays the vena, a traditional Indian instrument...has performed as part of an ensemble with other Indian musicians at the Claremont Colleges' Bridges Auditorium each of his four years as a student at CMC...vegetarian...enjoys yoga...spent the Fall of 2006 in Hyderabad, India pursuing his musical career as well as becoming more culturally in tune with his origins...favorite player is Roger Federer...was featured along with Elliott Teltscher in a USPTA instructional film that aired on The Tennis Channel during the second half of 2004...nickname is 'Kurt'... fluent in three languages (English, Tamil, and French) and learning Spanish and Hindi.
