Bio

Krista Jensen re-joins the CMS Softball staff after previously coaching the Athenas for three seasons from 2016-2018 under Betsy Hipple, helping the Athenas to SCIAC Tournament titles in two of those years (2016, 2018).

Jensen graduated from Santa Clara University in 2014 with a degree in Psychology after a four-year career playing second base and outfield for the Division I Broncos. She earned WCC All-Academic Honors in 2014. After college, she started her coaching career as an assistant at Presentation High School, her alma mater.

She is inspired by the resilience seen in high-failure sports like softball and a lack-there-of within high-failure industries like recruiting. At Santa Clara, her thesis revolved around creating interventions to improve job satisfaction and reduce turnover intention in such industries. Jensen worked with a leading scholar in “faultline” research within MLB and NBA teams.
