Emma Suh Earns SCIAC Hitter of the Week Accolades for CMS Softball

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Sophomore second baseman and leadoff hitter Emma Suh earned the SCIAC Softball Hitter of the Week honor for games through Sunday, March 19, the league office announced this afternoon.

Suh had a big week from her leadoff position in the batting order, as CMS went 4-0 against Division III opponents North Central and Williams. She was 5-for-7 in the North Central doubleheader, including 3-for-4 in the opener. She added a key bunt single in the fifth to set the table for a two-run inning in a 2-0 win on Friday to complete the doubleheader sweep.

On Sunday against Williams, she doubled with two outs to set the table for a two-run sixth to help put the nightcap away in a 5-1 win, finishing off a 3-for-6 day at the plate. She was also flawless in the field in 17 chances over the course of the four games.

CMS will be back in action this weekend when it opens SCIAC play with a three-game series against Cal Lutheran, playing a single game at home on Friday and then traveling to Thousand Oaks for a doubleheader on Saturday.
