Gurr on Schutt Sports/NFCA Watch List
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Junior Anna Gurr (CMC) from the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team has been chosen to be in the mix for the Schutt Sports/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Player of the Year. The watch list begins with 50 players in March and will be pared down in the subsequent weeks until just one remains at the end of the season.
Gurr currently leads the SCIAC with a 1.17 earned run average and has three wins and a save already to her name.
This weekend, the Athenas match up with cross-street rivals, Pomona-Pitzer, in a double header. The first pitch is slated for 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 11.
