Softball sent to Whitworth in Spokane, Wash. to face George Fox in NCAA Regional
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – In the NCAA Selection Show on Monday morning, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team learned they are headed to Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash. to face George Fox University in the NCAA Regional. The NCAA released the field of 62 teams that were divided into 14 four-team regionals and two three-team regionals.
The Athenas were the 2016 SCIAC Tournament champions beating La Verne in the championship game 4-2 to earn the automatic qualification from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).
