Robinson named to NFCA’s All-West Region First Team
LOUIVILLE, Ky. – After being named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (SCIAC) softball Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year, junior shortstop Tara Robinson (CMC) was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region First Team for the west.
This is Robinson's second All-Region selection and first on the First Team. This honor puts Robinson in the running for an NFCA All-Americans award. All-Americans are selected from the First Teams from all eight regions.
Her staggering on base percentage (.587) and outstanding defensive play at short stop led the Athenas to a second place finish in SCIAC and a 27-14 overall record.
