After dropping its first game of the 2013 NCAA Division III Softball Championships 3-0 to East Texas Baptist, CMS earned a 7-5 come-from-behind win over Southwestern (Tex.) in an elimination game of the Texas-Tyler Regional on Friday night. Next up for CMS is the loser of the East Texas Baptist vs. Redlands game in another elimination game that is set for 4 p.m. CST on Saturday.

The NCAA Division III Softball Committee announced the 62-team field Monday for the Division III Softball Championship which takes place May 9-13 and the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team earned a No. 2 seed in the Texas-Tyler Regional and face fifth-seeded East Texas Baptist University (34-10) in the opening round Friday, May 10.

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced its 2013 Academic All-District VIII softball team Tuesday and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior infielder Harmony Palmer has been selected to the first team. Palmer is the only player from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) to be selected to the Academic All-District team.

The excitement of the 2013 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Tournament began on Friday, with four competitive games. The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team posted an undefeated showing with wins over Chapman University (3-0) and the University of La Verne (3-0) to earn a spot in Saturday's tournament final.

On a day when the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Softball Tournament got underway, the SCIAC announced its 2013 All-Conference team and seven Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball players were selected. The Athenas completed the regular season with a 29-11 overall record and in second place in SCIAC play at 21-7.

Athenas Shut Out Oxy Twice, 4-0 For The Weekend

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team played host to the Occidental College Tigers Saturday, April 13, on Athena Field. The Athenas swept the doubleheader and the season series from the Tigers winning game one, 1-0 and game two, 8-0 in five innings. CMS is now 26-10 overall and a SCIAC record of 18-6.
