D'Anieri and Huang Named First Team All-SCIAC

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – Late Thursday afternoon the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the All-Conference teams for men's cross country. Sophomore Thomas D'Anieri (CMC) and senior Kevin Huang (HMC) were among the 20 student-athletes honored, both earning First Team accolades.

For D'Anieri it is the second-straight First Team honor. During his freshman season last year, D'Anieri finished the SCIAC Conference Championship in fifth-place with a time of 26:25.25 to earn his first All-SCIAC nod. This season, D'Anieri capped off the SCIAC slate with a third-place finish at the Conference Championships. He finished the 8K race in a time of 25:49.59 and was the only underclassmen to finish in the top-10.

Kevin Huang crossed the finish-line at the SCIAC Championships in a time of 26:10.81 to finish in seventh place and earn his first career All-SCIAC honors with a First Team distinction. Huang improved 54 spots and over two and a half minutes after finishing in 61st place (28:44.07) at last year's SCIAC Championships.

D'Anieri, Huang, and the rest of the Stags will be in action on Nov. 11 at the NCAA West Regionals. The Regionals will be across the street at Pomona-Pitzer.
