CLAREMONT, Calif. - CJ Box scored three goals and five other Stags scored two apiece as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team defeated Johns Hopkins 15-10 in the USA Water Polo Division III Semifinals on Saturday at Pomona-Pitzer's Haldeman Pool.

CMS Men's Water Polo Falls 13-12 in Overtime in National Finals

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Cristian Pang's fourth goal tied the score at 12-12 and forced the national championship match into overtime, but Pomona-Pitzer scored the only goal of the six-minute extra session and earned a 13-12 win over the Stags in a Sixth Street Rivalry matchup for the second-ever USA Water Polo Division III national title.

Stags to Compete at USA Water Polo Division III Nationals this Weekend

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team will compete at the USA Water Polo Division III National Championships for the second time this weekend, taking on Johns Hopkins in the semifinals on Saturday at 2 p.m., which will be held at Pomona-Pitzer's Haldeman Pool.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Rob Driscoll beat the third-quarter buzzer to tie the score 5-5 and Eric Warmoth gave CMS a 6-5 lead early in the fourth, but Pomona-Pitzer responded with a 5-0 run and went on to capture a 12-8 win in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament championship match on Sunday morning at Haldeman Pool.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Eleven different players scored goals, and senior goalie and league Defensive Player of the Year Noah Smith had a career-high 18 saves and six goals allowed, as the CMS men’s water polo team captured a 15-10 win over Cal Lutheran in the semifinals of the SCIAC Tournament on Friday afternoon.

WHITTIER, Calif. – Senior goalie Noah Smith had a huge performance with 16 saves, and 10 different Stags scored goals, as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s water polo team continued its second-half surge by rolling to a 16-7 road win over Whittier on Wednesday evening in its regular season finale at the Slade Aquatics Center.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Rob Driscoll had two goals and an assist in a 3-0 run to close out the third quarter, and Noah Smith had nine saves in goal, as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team, ranked No. 4 in Division III, picked up a big 10-6 road win over No. 2 Cal Lutheran on Wednesday afternoon at Samuelson Aquatics Center.

Late Run Helps Pomona-Pitzer Pull Away from CMS Men's Water Polo

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s water polo team started the second half with three straight goals to tie top-ranked Pomona-Pitzer 6-6, but Sam Sasaki had back-to-back goals to start a 5-0 run as Sagehens snapped the Stags’ five-game win streak with a 12-8 win on Saturday at Haldeman Pool.
