Ten Stags honored on ACWPC All-Academic Team

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Ten members of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team were recently honored by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) for their academic achievements. The ACWPC All-Academic team consisted of a total of 357 athletes from across the nation and NCAA divisions.

From the senior class, Alex Waggoner (CMC), Nick Bailey (CMC) and Rye Newman (CMC) were all honored. Juniors Arya Nakhjavani (CMC) and Peter Tilton (CMC) also made the cut. Matt Daruty (CMC) and Evan Pauletich (CMC) represent the sophomore class on the All-Academic Team. Last but not least, three freshmen, Zack Rossman (CMC), Ethan Lewis (CMC) and Harrison Miller (CMC), earned their first academic awards in their college career.

As a team, the Stags combined for a 3.22 grade point average which ranks them tied for eighth nationally.
