Men’s Water Polo SCIAC Championships Preview

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team enters the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships as the No. 1 seed with an undefeated conference record, 8-0. The Stags put up an 18-7 record overall during the regular season and additionally went undefeated at home. The last time CMS was undefeated in SCIAC was the 1997 season under Coach Mike Sutton with a 10-0 record.

2015 SCIAC Standings

As the No. 1 seed, CMS earns a bye in the first round and will play on Friday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. against the winner of No. 8 Occidental vs. No. 9 Caltech. The Championships continue on Saturday and Sunday as well. All games will be played at Las Flores Park in La Verne, Calif. Check out the tournament page here:

2015 SCIAC Men's Water Polo Championships

CMS has four players in the top-10 in SCIAC goal leaders. The Stags are led by senior Tanner Cullen (CMC) and junior Alex Waggoner (CMC) each with 21 goals in SCIAC play. Junior Eric Bakar (CMC) and senior Adam Hilborn (CMC) have each added 13 goals as well.
