Men’s Water Polo SCIAC Championships Information
CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team starts competition in the annual SCIAC Championships Friday, Nov. 21 hosted by the University of Redlands. The No. 2 seeded Stags face the No. 7 seeded La Verne in its first match at 1:45 p.m.
CMS enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed after going 7-1 in conference play, losing only to the top-seeded Whittier. In the 24 games that have made up the season so far, junior Tanner Cullen leads the Stags with 74 total goals, 3.1 goals per game. Four other players have at least 20 goals on the season: sophomore Eric Bakar (CMC) with 28, junior Adam Hilborn (CMC) with 27, freshman Noah Deer (CMC) with 25 and junior Daniel Cogan (CMC) at 20 goals. The CMS defense is led by senior goalie James Kelly who has spent the vast majority of the year in the cage.
The teams from all nine SCIAC programs participate in the men's water polo championships. All games will be live streamed through Redlands' portal. More information can be found on the Men's Water Polo SCIAC Championships Page.
