D'Anieri Wins 5K at Tufts Indoor Invite

MEDFORD, Mass. - Running in his home state of Massachusetts, Thomas D'Anieri (CMC) turned in the sixth best time in NCAA Division III in the 5K on Saturday at the Tufts Indoor Invite at Tufts University. D'Anieri finished with a time of 14:57.03 to win the race by over a minute in front of a field of five runners from the US Coast Guard.

Matthew Doyle from Coast Guard finished in second-place with a time of 16:02.21. D'Anieri finished 1:05.18 ahead of Doyle to win the race comfortably.

As mentioned, D'Anieri's time slots him comfortably inside the top-ten on the NCAA Division III National Rankings. He currently sits in sixth after running in just one race this season.

D'Anieri was the only Stag in action on Saturday.
