CMS Track & Field garners All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS, Louis. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Academic individuals and teams this past Friday, July 27 for the 2016-17 NCAA Division III Track & Field season. 13 members from the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Track & Field program were awarded All-Academic honors after meeting the criteria of compiling a cumulative GPA of 3.30. The honorees also must have either competed in an NCAA Championship or finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or top-35 in a relay event. Six Stags and seven Athenas were awarded the honors.

In addition, the CMS men's and women's team were named to the All-Academic team after having a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 and placing high in a national championship meet. The men's program compiled a team GPA of 3.305 and the women's program finished with a 3.486.
