The CMS men's tennis team earned ITA All-Academic Team honors to go with its SCIAC title

Stags Place Seven on ITA Scholar-Athlete Team

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Seven members of the CMS men's tennis team earned Scholar-Athlete honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, while the Stags also earned All-Academic Team honors.

Scholar-Athlete honors are given to student-athletes who earned at least a 3.5 GPA during the academic year, while All-Academic Team honors are presented to teams which carry at least a 3.2 GPA collectively. 

Nathan Arimilli, Ethan Carroll, Ian Freer, Michael Hao, Christopher Li, Matthew Robinson and Morgan Schilling each earned ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction for the Stags, as over half of the roster (7 of 12) passed the threshold. 

CMS won the SCIAC Championship for the 15th year in a row, all of which have occurred in undefeated fashion, and also won its NCAA Regional for the 11th year in a row. The Stags reached the NCAA Quarterfinals and ended the year ranked No. 5 in the country.
