Season capped for Butts and Morkovine with All-America awards

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2016 Division III All-America teams and D-III singles national champion Skyler Butts (CMC) has landed on the All-America teams in both singles and doubles, while junior teammate Daniel Morkovine (CMC) joined Butts on the team for doubles.

At the end of May, Butts was named as the ITA Senior Player of the year after helping lead the Stags to an NCAA quarterfinals appearance, anchoring the lineup at No. 1 singles and doubles all year. It is the third time Butts has made the All-America team in singles and first such honor in doubles.

The top CMS doubles team made the quarterfinals of the NCAA doubles competition this season.

This is the first All-America selection for Morkovine and he becomes the 52nd Stag overall to become an All-American. CMS players now have 69 All-America selections in singles and 74 in doubles.
