Men’s tennis to host Stags Tennis Against Cancer event on March 25

CLAREMONT, Calif. – In partnership with Claremont Colleges Against Cancer, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s tennis team is hosting a ‘Stags Tennis Against Cancer’ event on Wednesday, March 25 from 4-7 p.m. at Claremont McKenna College’s Biszantz Family Tennis Center.

Come out and watch the No.2-ranked CMS men’s tennis team as they take on No. 21 UC Santa Cruz Wednesday. The Stags Tennis Against Cancer event is being put on in an effort to drive registration for the Claremont Colleges Against Cancer Relay for Life, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at CMC’s Burns Track Complex. All proceeds from Relay for Life will go to the American Cancer Society. Those attending the men’s tennis match are encouraged to make donations to the American Cancer Society.

Throughout the course of Wednesday’s tennis match, there will be free pizza for spectators, provided on a first-come, first-served basis. In between the doubles and singles matches, a ‘hit for prizes’ event is scheduled where participants are invited to test their tennis skills by attempting to hit  targets for prizes.

For more information on the event, please visit the Stags Tennis Against Cancer event page on Facebook or email men’s tennis head coach Paul Settles at Paul.Settles@cms.claremont.edu.
