On Court: An all-court player whose strengths included a big serve and big forehand...came to CMS as a nationally ranked junior and one of the top Hawaiian 18s players...as a freshman earned a starting position and played #6 singles and #3 doubles (with John Goldis)...as a sophomore earned ITA All-American honors in doubles with partner John Michael Cham-A-Koon, reaching the semifinals of the NCAA individual doubles tournament...went 13-10 playing at #4 through #6 singles and 21-8 in doubles at #1 doubles...Ellison and Cham-A-Koon were the first CMS players to win an Ojai title in 10 years...recipient of the Most Improved Player award as voted by his teammates...as a junior took the Fall of 2004 off to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain...returned to play #5 singles and #2 doubles (with David Oehm) where he went 17-8 and 16-7 respectively...finished the season very strong by reaching the quarterfinals of Ojai...was voted Most Valuable Player by his teammates as a result of his team best win-loss record...as a senior played in the ITA West Regionals in the fall and lost in the second round of singles and semifinals of the doubles (with David Oehm)...ranked #8 in the west with Oehm in the Fall 2005 doubles rankings...played doubles exhibition with the Bryan Brothers on Maui over winter break 2005...posted a 9-3 singles record playing at #1, #2, #5, and #6, including a six match winning streak between Feb 5 and April 14...went 10-3 at the #3 doubles spot with Oehm, including a semifinal run at the Ojai Valley Tournament..finished his career with 104 combined singles and doubles wins (104-60) and a career winning percentage of .634...played an integral part of three SCIAC Championship Teams, in 2003, 2004, and 2006.
