Cyrus Gaylord Earns SCIAC Men's Diver of the Week Award

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Cyrus Gaylord earned the SCIAC Men's Diver of the Week honor for events through Sunday, Jan. 16, the league office announced today.

Gaylord swept the two diving events to help CMS to a dual win over Redlands on Saturday. He tallied 261.20 points on the three-meter board, and 279.10 on the one-meter to finish first in both, as the Stags won all 14 of the events that were held in the dual. 

It marks the second time this season that CMS has had the SCIAC Diver of the Week on the men's side, as Jack Griffith opened up the year by taking it following a meet with UC San Diego. The Stags have also had three Swimmer of the Week Awards with senior All-American Marco Conati winning twice, and Anderson Breazeale winning once. 

CMS will be back in action on Jan. 29 when it travels to La Verne for a tri-meet featuring Cal Lutheran and the host Leopards.
